An easy day today - just under 10 NM up the coast a bit to Simpson Bay, inside Possession Island. Possession Island is where Capt Cook took possession of the east coast of Australia from here to 38 deg south (near Lakes Entrance). Wind still gusting 20+ so hope it eases off a bit tomorrow for the passage over the top and down the east coast. We should catch the tide and pass through Albany Passage and thence on to Escape River. Mud crabs? Mmmm, let's hope so.
