What's For Lunch?

Jon went off this morning to see what was happening with a section of fish farm that had been towed up to the dock.  A truck with a crane lowered a big plastic basket into one section while two men on the fish farm scooped live fish into it.

The basket was then unloaded onto a waiting truck - live fish for the sashimi market down in Makurazaki.  Not only there but here too...

...One man asked Jon if he liked sashimi and before he knew it he was given a 66-cm snapper to bring back for lunch!!  Wow!

A visit to a local shop and we soon had some of the accoutrements - wasabe, daikon, and some shiso leaves. The shiso leaves are anti-inflammatory and said to preserve and sterilise other foods - hence reduce any chance of the raw fish causing a tummy upset!
