A busy couple of days sorting out visas and sailing permits. Then a busy Saturday morning assisting our friend Jaap from Alishan who had a class teaching English to the children of some fishing families. What a great job he does! Saturday afternoon we had Jaap drop by with Vicky from Sunstone. Vicky had bussed down from Ube to compete in a half-marathon on Sunday while Sunstone was still in Ube Port.
We also had our Japanese friend Mena, back from assisting on Sea Rover on its passage south to Ishigaki. What tales she had to tell of her first ever experience of this type with strong winds, seasickness and having to cook for three, three times a day. She is a very strong lady. Then another visitor. This time another Japanese sailing friend, Masashi-san who came to make us some Japanese green tea. A very relaxing afternoon.
Vicky gets to have the first cup.
